2 held at Coimbatore airport for smuggling gold worth ₹34L

Two people were arrested by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence at the Coimbatore International Airport on Tuesday for trying to smuggle gold worth over ₹34 lakh. The gold was found concealed inside items like electric iron and TV in the form of round and square slabs. The passengers belonging to Kerala were travelling on Sri Lankan airlines.
