2 killed as landslide hits Wayanad tunnel project, several feared trapped

Two people were killed as a massive landslide hit Kerala's Wayanad after the region witnessed heavy rainfall since Monday night. The rescue operation is underway amid fears that many people could be trapped beneath the debris. The landslide occurred near Meenakshi Bridge at Kalladi, close to site of ongoing Anakkompoyil-Meppadi tunnel road project connecting Malappuram and Wayanad districts.
