2 Mumbai policemen didn't join new posting for 9 yrs; dismissed

Two Mumbai Police personnel were dismissed last week after it was found that they didn't report to their assigned posting for nine years but continued drawing their salaries until 2018, an officer said. The constables were transferred from local arms department at Tardeo to Malabar Hill Police Station in June 2012. A departmental inquiry concluded that they indulged in misconduct.
