2 passengers held at Mumbai airport with gold worth ₹18.92 crore
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) arrested two passengers from Dubai at Mumbai airport with 21.28 kg of smuggled gold worth ₹18.92 crore. The gold was concealed in customized waist belts worn by the passengers beneath their shirts. The duo admitted to smuggling the gold, and a case was registered against them under relevant provisions of the Customs Act.
