2 students replace 1,500 fake iPhones in US, scam Apple of ₹6 cr

Two Chinese college students in the US were arrested for allegedly scamming Apple for over ₹6 crore in 1,493 iPhone replacements. The accused allegedly smuggled fake iPhones from China, sent them to Apple for repair or replacement claiming they wouldn't switch on. They smuggled the original replacements back to China and claimed of being unaware the Chinese phones were counterfeits.
