2-time Paralympic champion Sumit Antil creates history, breaks own javelin world record

Two-time Paralympic gold medalist javelin thrower Sumit Antil broke his earlier record to set a new world record of a 74.82-metre throw in the F64 category. He achieved the distance in his fifth attempt at the Indian Open Para Athletics Championships 2026 in Bengaluru. His previous record of 73.29 metres came at the Asian Para Games in China in 2022.
