2 trainsets with 220 kmph speed to be made at Chennai ICF

Chennai's Integral Coach Factory will manufacture two high-speed trainsets capable of running at 220 km/h, with a maximum speed of 250 km/h. Based on the Vande Bharat platform, these trains mark a major step toward indigenous high-speed rail in India. The project aims to reduce dependence on imports and significantly cut travel time on future rail corridors.
