20 cm pelvic tumour removed after 12-hr surgery

A woman suffering persistent pain for six months was diagnosed with a 20 cm giant cell tumour in her left pelvis after developing a pathological fracture. Doctors at Shalby International Hospital, Gurugram, performed a 12-hour surgery to remove the tumour and reconstruct the area. After physiotherapy, she regained mobility and can now walk independently without a conventional hip joint.
