20 lakh tonnes of food grains distributed under PMGKAY since Dec

The government said it has distributed nearly 20 lakh tonnes of free food grains so far to eligible beneficiaries under the fifth phase of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY). The Centre had allocated a total of 163 lakh tonnes of rice and wheat to all states and UTs for distribution from December 2021 to March 2022.
