20 rebel TMC MPs seek to join BJP-led NDA, submit letter to Lok Sabha Speaker

At least 20 rebel TMC MPs on Monday submitted a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla seeking to join the BJP-led NDA as a separate group, TMC MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar said. She will reportedly lead the breakaway faction. The move comes after Rajya Sabha MP Sukhendu Shekhar Ray submitted his resignation earlier on Monday.
