After the death and disappearances of 11 top defence scientists in the US since 2022, a similar pattern seems to be unfolding in China. At least nine Chinese scientists have died under comparable circumstances. Chinese media have, over time, reported a series of unexpected deaths involving scientists in highly sensitive fields, including military AI, hypersonic weapons and space defence.
