20 tourists injured as mini bus overturns in Valparai

Twenty tourists were injured after a mini bus carrying 23 people overturned on the Chalakudy-Valparai road. The accident occurred around 6:30 pm when the driver reportedly lost control after a brake failure while negotiating the first hairpin bend. The injured passengers, who were returning from Valparai to Rameswaram, were taken to Government Hospital in Pollachi.
