200 tourists stranded due to heavy rains, landslides in Sikkim

Heavy rains and resultant landslides in Sikkim have left 200 tourists stranded and have also affected piped water supply to the state capital Gangtok, officials said on Wednesday. The rains are set to continue and the India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in the state. There were reports of heavy rains in neighbouring north Bengal and Bhutan too.
