2002 Akshardham temple attack accused arrested at Ahmedabad airport

Mohammed Farooq Shaikh, an accused in the 2002 Akshardham temple attack, was arrested by the Ahmedabad Crime Branch from Ahmedabad Airport on Monday. Two militants with alleged links to Pakistan-headquartered Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) had attacked the Akshardham temple in Gujarat's Gandhinagar on September 24, 2002. Over 30 people were killed and 80 were injured in the attack.
