2019 Easter Sunday bombings that killed 279 in Sri Lanka directed by ex-spy chief
Sri Lanka's Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, Ananda Wijepala, has said that the nation's ex-spy chief Suresh Sallay directed the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings that killed 279 people. "Just three weeks prior to the attack, Sallay met Muslim men to obtain details of the location and the congregation," Wijepala further said. Sallay was arrested in February this year.
