2021 was a tough year; needed time to heal: Serena Williams

Former world number one Serena Williams has said that the year 2021 was "tough" for her. "I ripped my hamstring. I don't think anyone ever wants to do that. The whole experience was rough," Williams said. The 40-year-old tennis player added, "I didn't retire. I needed to heal physically, and mentally." Notably, Williams has won seven Wimbledon titles.
