2026 Global Terrorism Index released, Pakistan tops

Pakistan has topped the 2026 Global Terrorism Index, followed by Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Mali, Syria, Somalia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Colombia and Israel. As per the index, the impact of terrorism fell in 81 countries, the highest number of annual improvements since 2021, while rising in just 19 countries. India has been ranked 13th in the index.
