20th-ranked Ben Shelton reaches first-ever Australian Open semi

World number 20 tennis player Ben Shelton beat Italy's Lorenzo Sonego 6-4, 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (7/4) on Wednesday to reach his first-ever Australian Open semi-final. The 22-year-old, who will play his second Grand Slam semi-final, is the second active American man to reach multiple major semi-finals after Frances Tiafoe. Shelton defeated Sonego in three hours and 50 minutes.
