23 Indians earned more than ₹500 crore in FY2022-23

Twenty three individuals earned over ₹500 crore in total gross income in the financial year 2022-23, according to data from the Income Tax Department. As many as 262 people earned in the range of ₹100 crore to ₹500 crore, whereas 436 individuals reported their income between ₹50 crore-₹100 crore. Highest tax returns were filed for ₹5.5 lakh-₹9.5 lakh income range.
