23 missing after Vietnamese ship sinks in South China Sea

A Vietnamese-registered cargo ship carrying 62 Vietnamese nationals sank near the disputed Yongshu Reef, aka Fiery Cross Reef, in the South China Sea on Saturday evening. Thirty-nine people were rescued while 23 remain missing. Six Chinese ships, a rescue helicopter and one Vietnamese vessel have been deployed to carry out the search and rescue operation, Chinese media reported.
