23 social networking & messaging apps banned in Saran till Feb 8

The Bihar government has temporarily banned 23 social networking and messaging applications till 11 pm on February 8 in Saran in order to "maintain peace & tranquility". The order will be applicable for Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Telegram, Skype and Snapchat, among other applications. Officials said it's believed that anti-social elements may use the internet to spread objectionable content.
