2,300 beer cans destroyed in Europe for using 'champagne of beers' slogan

Belgian customs have destroyed over 2,300 cans of Miller High Life beer for using 'Champagne of Beers' slogan on its packaging. The cans were destroyed after the trade body Comité Champagne argued that the slogan infringed the protected designation of origin 'Champagne'. As per European laws, the name 'Champagne' can only be used for wines made in France's Champagne region.
