24 lakh homes have rooftop solar systems under PM Surya Ghar

Under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, rooftop solar systems have been installed in 24 lakh households, achieving nearly 24% of the one-crore target set for FY 2026-27, the government told the Rajya Sabha. Over 53.54 lakh applications have been received so far, with 35 lakh new household installations targeted for FY 2025-26 alone.
