24-year-old dementia patient, who had the brain of a 70-year-old, dies in UK
Andre Yarham, Britain's 'youngest' dementia patient, has died aged 24 after being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. Yarham died in a hospice on December 27, 2025, following an infection. His family has donated his brain to science in the hope of aiding research into the disease. Scans had revealed his brain had the appearance and function of a 70-year-old person's brain.
