24-yr-old dies due to Nipah virus in Kerala; 151 people came in contact

A 24-year-old man, who tested positive for the Nipah virus, died in Kerala's Malappuram, state Health Minister Veena George said on Sunday. The deceased used to study in Bengaluru and 151 persons came in primary contact with the person, out of whom five have symptoms of fever, George added. Nipah virus is primarily spread from fruit bats to humans.
