24-yr-old Indian-origin woman, Nepali-origin friend crushed to death by subway train in New York

A 24-year-old Indian-origin woman and her Nepali-origin friend were crushed to death by a train at a subway station in New York, apparently after one of them fell onto the tracks and the other jumped off the platform to help. Train operator told supervisors that the woman, Malaika Chitre, appeared to be laughing while pulling man, Navam Kaul, towards her.
