24-yr-old woman dies after abortion at home, husband held in Pune

A 24-year-old woman died after a clandestine abortion procedure was performed on her at her residence in Maharashtra's Pune. Police arrested her husband and father-in-law, while her mother-in-law was booked. A four-month-old foetus was buried in family's farm. Police suspect when the family discovered the foetus was female, they arranged for abortion. The woman had married the accused in 2017.
