24-yr-old Karthikeyan Murali becomes 3rd Indian to defeat Magnus Carlsen in classical chess

India's 24-year-old Grandmaster Karthikeyan Murali has become the third Indian after Viswanathan Anand and Pentala Harikrishna to defeat Magnus Carlsen in classical chess. Karthikeyan registered a win against the world number one chess player with black pieces in the seventh round of Qatar Masters 2023. Karthikeyan had become Grandmaster in 2015.
