25% chance of Sensex touching 1-lakh mark in a yr: Morgan Stanley

Ridham Desai, head of Morgan Stanley's Indian Equity Research team, assigned a 25% probability to the BSE Sensex hitting the 1,00,000 mark within the next year. Desai said his bull-case scenario is based on assumptions that oil prices remain below $80 a barrel, reflation policies begin delivering results, and earnings grow at a compounded annual rate of 19% during FY2026-29.
