25,000 cattle in Karnataka’s Turuvekere to get free insurance

Around 25,000 cattle in Turuvekere taluk of Tumakuru district will receive free insurance cover. The District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Societies Union has expanded the scheme after insuring 18,500 cattle last year. The insurance cover will range from ₹40,000 to ₹75,000, depending on the milk-yielding capacity of the cattle, officials said.
