At least 26 people have died in two separate incidents in Uttar Pradesh after they consumed hooch. While 16 people lost their lives in Saharanpur, 10 died on drinking the spurious liquor in Kushinagar. In the wake of the incidents, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath announced ₹2 lakh compensation to the families of the deceased.
