26 out of 199 Malayalam films were successful this year: KFPA

Kerala Film Producers' Association (KFPA) revealed that out of the 199 Malayalam films released this year, only 26 were considered successful. The total production cost for these films reached ₹1,000 crore, while earnings amounted to ₹300 crore, resulting in a ₹700-crore loss. The makers believe that the loss is also due to the increasing production cost, especially the actors' salaries.
