27-year-old worker regains vision after severe eye injury

A 27-year-old industrial worker regained vision after a metallic fragment penetrated his right eye during metal pressing. At NIO Super Specialty Hospital, Pune, doctors performed emergency cataract extraction, lens implantation, vitrectomy, foreign-body removal, endolaser and antibiotic injections. The infection was controlled, restoring useful vision and helping him return to work safely.
