27-yr-old woman dies after multiple laser treatments to remove birthmarks, spots in China

A 27-year-old woman in China died after undergoing a series of laser treatments for removal of spots and birthmarks. The woman's mother said she had temporarily suspended the treatment due to severe pain caused by uneven application of anaesthetic. During her 10th procedure, the woman felt dizzy after anaesthetic cream was applied and later suffered convulsions and eventually cardiac arrest.
