28 people asked to pay ₹14L in UP in first notices sent out over protest damages

Rampur district administration in Uttar Pradesh has sent out the first set of notices to 28 residents for recovery of damage to government property, including police motorcycles, barriers and sticks, in anti-CAA protests. Holding them responsible, the notices have sought an explanation from the residents on why recoveries should not be made from them for damage worth ₹14.86 lakh.
