Bengaluru doctors led by Dr Madhuri Vidyashankar and Dr Vijayalakshmi successfully removed a rare 4.65-kg uterine fibroid from a 28-year-old woman through minimally invasive surgery. Despite the tumour's size and risky location, the team preserved her uterus and future fertility using laparoscopic surgery and a specialised morcellation technique.
