2,800-kg maglev car that floats above highway tested in China, video surfaces

A car equipped with magnetic levitation (maglev) technology was recently successfully tested on a highway in China. The 2,800-kg vehicle 'floated' 35 millimetres above the road surface, powered by electromagnetic force and guided by pre-installed conducting rails. China had unveiled the first maglev train in Shanghai in 2004.
