285 buses & trains announced for Madurai temple consecration

With thousands of devotees expected to visit Madurai for the Meenakshi Amman Temple consecration, Southern Railway and the Tamil Nadu Transport Department have announced 285 additional buses and trains to manage the rush. The consecration is scheduled for September 17, 2026, with around seven lakh devotees expected to attend the major religious event.
