29-yr-old female hiker falls 500ft from cliff in US National Park; dies

An Arizona woman named Danielle Burnett died after falling 500 feet down from Half Dome granite formation in Yosemite National Park. The 29-year-old was dead when emergency officials found her and park officials are investigating the accident. The Half Dome trail traverses 14-16.4 miles and gains 4,800 feet in elevation, and the climb involves use of cables to ascend safely.
