2-year-old child dies from brain-eating amoeba in US

A two-year-old boy in United States' Nevada died from a rare infection, Naegleria fowleri, commonly referred to as the "brain-eating amoeba". The boy's family believes that the infection infiltrated his body and entered his nose while he was playing in the water in Ash Springs. The boy passed away on July 19 after he started experiencing flu-like symptoms last week.
