3,000 km MCS over Bay of Bengal sparks heavy rain warning

A massive 3,000 km-long Mesoscale Convective System (MCS) has formed over the Bay of Bengal and is moving towards India at high speed. Meteorologists warn of extreme rainfall, lightning, strong winds, and possible flooding across several eastern and northeastern states. Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and others are on alert as IMD issues warnings for severe weather impact.
