3 booked for assaulting lodge employee in Karnataka

A 27-year-old lodge employee in Karnataka's Puttur was allegedly slapped, assaulted and threatened by three men on Saturday night. The accused, Farooq, Sonu and Ishan, allegedly confronted Mohammed Rifai at his workplace and threatened him with death. A video purportedly showing the assault has gone viral on social media. Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
