3 Indians die at work every week in Gulf, shows govt data

Over 800 Indian expatriates died in workplace accidents abroad between 2023 and 2025, according to MEA data. Around 55% of these deaths occurred in Gulf countries, averaging nearly three deaths every week. Saudi Arabia recorded the highest toll with 182 deaths, followed by UAE with 128. A blast in Qatar killed 12 Indians last month, raising concerns over worker safety.
