3 lakh+ Punjab govt employees go on strike over dearness allowance

Over 3 lakh employees of Punjab government departments, and boards went on mass strike by taking casual leave over non-payment of pending dearness allowance (DA) arrears. Government hospitals, clinics, bus services and teaching activities are expected to be affected. Meanwhile, CM Bhagwant Mann had invited employee union representatives for talks in Jalandhar, but the meeting was later cancelled.
