3-tier security, 1 lakh personnel deployed for TN counting centres

Over 1,00,000 security personnel will be deployed in 62 counting centres in Tamil Nadu for vote counting on May 4, Election Commission said on Saturday. A three-tier security system will be in place, with state police guarding entry points and central forces securing counting halls and EVM strong rooms. Using mobiles will be restricted to designated areas for strict monitoring.
