30-foot cockroach effigy to be burnt alongside Raavan's at a Ramlila in Delhi

The Shree Keshav Ram Leela Committee, which organises a Ramlila in Delhi's Pitampura, will burn a 30-foot cockroach effigy alongside Raavan's. The organisers said burning the effigy would symbolise eliminating filth and promote cleanliness under the Swachh Bharat campaign. Committee president and BJP MLA Ashok Goel denied any political motive amid ongoing Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests.
