30 kg gold seized from baggage addressed to UAE consulate in Kerala

The Customs and Preventive Department has seized at least 30 kg of gold from an air cargo consignment bound for the United Arab Emirates consulate in Thiruvananthapuram. The raid was carried out after obtaining permission from the Ministry of External Affairs. "We have detained one person and are on the lookout for two more," said Sumit Kumar, Customs Commissioner.
