300 homes, shops sealed in Delhi's Okhla due to alleged encroachment

Around 300 homes and shops were sealed at Aali Gaon in Delhi's Okhla due to alleged encroachment on land claimed by the Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department. The electricity and water connections were also disconnected, forcing people to live outside their sealed houses in the December cold in makeshift tents and temporary shelters. Residents said they were not given legal notice.
