300-year-old mosque demolished to widen highway in Muzaffarnagar

A 300-year-old mosque was demolished in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar on Thursday for widening of the Panipat-Khatima Highway. SDM Parmanand Jha said locals had earlier been asked to relocate the mosque several times but they failed to do so. Two more religious structures built on government land will be pulled down in the same stretch of the national highway, he added.
