31.65 kg silver worth ₹71 lakh missing from BHEL plant, CBI registers FIR

The CBI has registered an FIR over the alleged theft of 31.65 kg of silver worth around ₹71 lakh from BHEL's solar cell plant in Gurugram. A probe found prima facie evidence against plant head Bharat Kumar Pant and Ashish Kumar. A February 2024 check found only 6.23 kg, while records for the remaining silver were unavailable.
